What is mandatory quicksave on Steam
I just started playing in the steam and I've been playing pc games from the wolf before that. I understand that a new convention and can make a game like Far Cry hard enough. But using the same game also allows you to try something different and might I point out that MW1 was very popular and used quick save. Although much more frequently, but I do not play again when it was released, so I do not know if people grumble as much as they were with Far Cry. Now that I'm playing yet again I see people freak out if there is rebuff quicksave and I do not understand. It's a comfort thing? No magic can be saved and that game is one of the most fun games I think I played. That carry the old school "should attempt to improve and" back mentality that is so incredibly devoid of games released these days.

I never use quicksave. I always use the challenge of starting all the way from the car last save or checkpoint to keep me on my toes. I feel that helps me play smarter and do not have much of a safety net to fall on.

Quick saves are nice, just want to immortalize these moments with a quick stop in which they are fully clothed in armor, ammunition, etc and ready to face anything. I do not think they are mandatory, especially in these days when games are not as brutal punishment-wise difficult as they were before, but I miss them sometimes.

I prefer Quicksave checkpoints. Quicksave basically nullify any difficulty in the game. Where checkpoints will punish you for mistakes. In the end I'd rather not store any checkpoints, but they are a necessary evil that is quicksave have become basically the "difficult" game mode ridiculously easy? You need not worry about the traps, jumps or even fighting a boss that you are not prepared for. A quick save basically means you save on your head and keep trying until the fate passes and kill the boss. Instead of teaching a player to really prepare in advance. That's the beauty of Metro 2033. Is punished for not being prepared with gas filters and ammunition. If you are ready to be back at various levels. It's amazing and I find it funny that people complain that they ran out of ammunition and filters and can not continue. Quicksave players have gone badly.

I can quickly load a saved game before the boss. After many attempts to find a way to overcome it. Checkpoint: Spend 10 minutes going back to the boss and die again. Lose 10 minutes of your time doing the same thing before having the opportunity to understand how to fight it is pretty stupid. Checkpoint is to drag the game. It's a waste of time.

It gives you time to find out what went wrong. It also teaches how to efficiently get to the boss, so that precious resources are there to help defeat the boss. The first time you come to a head that can be used up all their "uber weapons", "Magic" or anything else that is a limited offer. The next time you do feel better conservation.

It appear that most feel like checkpoints are not a bad thing, but the few that make it seem very passionate about how 'dumb' and 'stupid' they are. I was pretty example of the mirror edge - I died continuously in that game and do not keep in mind 50 seconds repetition time. I also think that I do not understand people who hate the checkpoints do not understand the (type of law) the repetition makes you better. I understand very well because I am a musician, but the same applies to games. I mean Magic / Far Cry 1 in particular. You had to be first class with games to get through checkpoints and two games that offer an almost countless ways to do it.

A lot of games have done the wrong way checkpoint together, where the game ends up being boring. What is good for you in a form of learning can often be frustrating for others? But why do you feel like the quick save function is wrong? It is an option, not mandatory. Having both is the best of both worlds and everyone can play the way they want it. I see how levels of difficulty. If you remove the game modes as easy or normal difficulty just enjoy the drive?

Also, do not feel the checkpoints outweigh saving quickly. Everything depends on the game. Games like STALKER I wish there were checkpoints, because I was so completely absorbed in their environment they forget to save (and then I lose WAY more game time than any other control system). But I do not feel one is superior FOREVER. I do not understand why people will not buy a game simply because there is no quicksave.

I want my games to checkpoint / auto save and quicksave (F5). A quicksave has the potential to dumping down a game, but certainly not inherent to the function of keeping fast as others on this topic I think it is. I do not say to me, I just do not like having to repeat much of a game after dying.
